Nothing is playing

Check the silent switch and the volume first. Then the level bank: if every slider in the top bank is down, all sixty-four waves are silent. Pull a few up and the chord comes back. The output level and the desk at the exit also have to be up.

It sounds like one flat note

That is the starting point: sixty-four waves sitting exactly on their notes have nothing to beat against. Move a few sliders in the lower bank — that is how far each wave sits off its own note. One or two make a slow pulse; twenty make the chord breathe.

The sound keeps going after I leave the app

That is deliberate: it keeps playing while you switch apps or lock the screen, the way a drone should. To stop it, use the pause on the lock screen or in Control Centre, or close the app.

The microphone does nothing

iOS asks for permission the first time. If it was declined, open Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and turn Wōdnesdæg on. The microphone is only a trigger: it listens for a clap or a voice and steps the music on. If the room is loud it may step constantly — raise the threshold, or turn it off.

It distorts when I pull the sliders up

Sixty-four sine waves add up fast. Bring the output level down first, then the level bank. The limiter at the exit catches peaks but cannot undo a bank that is all the way up.

Can I export the sound?

Not from inside the app. Use the iOS screen recorder, or run the output into a recorder through an audio interface.
