Privacy Policy
Ferrec · Tape loop recorder · k.odk
This app collects nothing. No personal data, no usage data, no identifiers. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party code that could do any of those things. The app makes no network connections at all.
Microphone
Ferrec is a tape recorder: it records through the microphone so that you can play the sound back as a loop. The recording is written to the app's own private storage on your device. It is not uploaded, shared, or made available to any other app.
The microphone is used only while you are recording, and stops when the recording stops. You can record over or clear a loop at any time from within the app.
Audio files
Ferrec can load an audio file that you choose yourself through the system file picker. It reads only the file you pick, only when you pick it, and only to copy the sound onto its own tape. It cannot see anything else on your device, and nothing is sent anywhere.
What is stored on your device
- The loops on both decks, and the field recording.
- The eight stock slots.
- The position of every control.
All of it lives inside the app's own storage on your device. None of it leaves the device, and all of it is removed when you delete the app.
Children
This is a recorder and an instrument, safe for any age. Since nothing is collected from anyone, nothing is collected from children either.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. If a future version ever collected anything, it would be described here first.
