How do I play it?

Four synths, A to D, play at once and hear each other through the wires. The sixteen keys at the bottom play them, four keys each. GEN gives one of them something new to play. Every key is explained inside the app: the ⚙ at the top right opens the settings, each one told what it does.

Nothing is playing

Check the silent switch and the volume first. In TOUCH mode the synths rest until a key is touched. Some patches are quiet on their own: press GEN on that synth for another.

It changes by itself

That is deliberate when DRIFT is on: GEN then runs on its own now and then. Turn DRIFT off and the four stay with what they have.

The sound keeps going after I leave the app

Also deliberate: it keeps playing while you switch apps or lock the screen, the way an instrument should. To stop it, close the app.

Why does it ask for the microphone and the camera?

The microphone: the four listen to the room (how loud, how bright, when a sound starts). The camera: only if you choose CAM for the antennae — it is read as two light sensors. Nothing is recorded. If you would rather not, say no; the rest works as before.

Can I load my own patches?

Not in this version. GEN grows new ones from the patches inside the app.

Can I export the sound?

Not from inside the app. Use the iOS screen recorder, or run the output into a recorder through an audio interface.

互いに演奏しあう四台のシンセ · k.odk

不具合のご報告、ご要望は kodk.dev@gmail.com までお送りください。端末の機種名、iOS のバージョン、どの操作で起きたかを書き添えていただけると、直せる可能性がぐっと上がります。

どうやって弾くの？

A〜D の四台が同時に鳴り、結線（WIRE）でお互いを聴きあいます。下の十六の鍵で弾きます（一台に四つずつ）。GEN を押すと、その一台が新しいものを鳴らします。すべての釦の説明はアプリの中にあります。右上の ⚙ で開きます。

音が鳴りません

まずマナースイッチと音量。TOUCH モードでは、鍵に触れるまで休んでいます。単体では静かなパッチもあるので、その一台の GEN で別のものにしてください。

勝手に変わっていきます

DRIFT が入っているときはそういう作りです。ときどき GEN がひとりでに走ります。 DRIFT を切れば、四台はいまのものを鳴らしつづけます。

アプリを離れても鳴りつづけます

これもそういう作りです。止めるときはアプリを閉じてください。

マイクとカメラの許可を求められるのはなぜ？

マイクは、四台が部屋の音（大きさ・明るさ・立ち上がり）を聴くためです。カメラは、アンテナに CAM を選んだときだけ、光センサーとして使います。どちらも録音・撮影はしません。許可しなくても、それ以外はそのまま使えます。

自分のパッチを読み込めますか

このバージョンではできません。GEN がアプリの中のパッチから新しいものを育てます。

作った音を書き出せますか

アプリの中からはできません。iOS の画面収録か、オーディオインターフェースで外の録音機へ出してください。
